OpenFi issues privacy-preserving credentials tied to a real-world, KYC-compliant bank verification, so a counterparty can check “is this a verified unique human or agent?” without ever seeing a name, country, or government ID.

Format

  • Standard: W3C Verifiable Credentials, VC-JWT format
  • Issuer DID: did:web:openfi.co
  • Subject DID (wallets): did:pkh

What it’s used for

  • Sybil resistance: confirming a wallet belongs to a unique, non-duplicated verified identity before it can participate in a payment, governance action, or token distribution
  • Agent attestation: letting one autonomous agent verify a counterparty agent or service is backed by a real, KYC’d commercial entity before transacting
